18th Century Posy Ring "I Desire to Deserve" jade began in the late 18thDATE: 18th Century, c. 1700 This wonderful early 18th Century Posy Ring bears a sweet romantic inscription: "I Desire to Deserve", along with a rare early makers mark (that appears to be a flame). It's modelled in 22k yellow gold, and dates to c. 1700. Posy Rings take their name from the old word Poesy, meaning a poem or poetic line.
