It was collected many years ago from a large open cut gold mine at Reedys near Cue in Western Australia
Prase rough PRR111 striped 145 mm x 75 mmPRR 111. Dimensions at widest points approximately 125 mm x 120 mm x 80 mm thick. Weighs 1,615 grams. Prase is a chrome rich chert. The green colour usually derives from minor mineral content, most commonly the green chromiferous muscovite mica, fuchsite. There are numerous Prase deposits in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
