Polished Bauxite BAU115 toredo Interesting inclusion of quartz inBAU115. Bauxite (laterite) rough rock, cut and polished on one side. Bauxite is the main raw material used in the commercial production of aluminium. Large reserves of this stone occur in Western Australia. This specimen is from east of the Darling Ranges just outside the city of Perth. Dimensions at widest points approximately 130 mm x 90 mm x 65 mm thick. Weighs 674 grams.
